EFC is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to keeping traditional arts and fine craft a vital part of our local culture. Our retail gallery serves as the heart of our organization, providing a space for artisans to showcase their creations and offering classrooms for educational programs that benefit the greater community.

Denise Paquette • Boarding House Pottery
Denise hand carves every piece, cutting dramatic reliefs into the clay and then working dark oxide washes into the lines so the pattern stands out against the glazed rims. It is a masterclass in patience, and the results are functional first and beautiful anyway, an everyday mug that happens to be a small sculpture or a centerpiece that stops the room.

Exeter Fine Crafts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve and promote handcrafted arts and craftspeople in northern New England so they continue to be a visible, vital and cherished part of our cultural heritage. By providing both an educational and a retail environment, we expand public awareness and understanding of craft traditions and innovations, and increase public and private support for fine crafts and craftspeople.
